Thirty-two Things in Thirty-two Years

Welp. I am another year older.  In case you missed it, I turned 32 this past week.  Thirty two, yet I still feel 16.  I think that is a good thing? I have learned a few things in the past thirty-two years of my life and I thought it would be fun to share my wealth of knowledge.

Enjoy.

Thirty-two Things in Thirty-two Years:

  1. Do NOT go into a tanning bed.
  2. Haters gonna hate. Just be yourself.
  3. Coasters will, in fact, prevent you from ruining a table; use one.
  4. If something feels wrong, it probably is.
  5. When you have to choose between being a jack ass or being kind, be kind.
  6. You only get one face.  Wear sunscreen and start a skincare routine ASAP.
  7. Eat as much macaroni as you can, while you can.
  8. Life is too short for cheap whiskey.
  9. Life is too short to hold a grudge.
  10. To quote Kenny Chesney, “You find out who your friends are”.
  11. Time is money.  If something will make your life easier, pay for that service or item.
  12. Lawry’s is salt. It is not a seasoning.  Easy with that stuff.
  13. Just say you’re sorry.
  14. Take naps when you can.
  15. Always use a crockpot liner.  Always.
  16. Don’t bottle up feelings.  Let that shit out.
  17. A little exercise won’t kill you.
  18. The waiting is the hardest part of anything, but good things come to those who wait.
  19. Always double the amount of cheese a recipe calls for.
  20. Speaking of cheese, shred that cheese yourself.  It is way better than pre-shredded bagged cheese.
  21. Miranda Lambert is Queen.
  22. Your mom is probably right.
  23. It is cliche, but don’t sweat the small stuff. A year from now you won’t even remember.
  24. You probably aren’t drinking enough water.
  25. The best friends are the ones you don’t talk to regularly, but when you do it is like you never missed a beat.
  26. Work hard, but have some fun too.
  27. People change. Don’t judge someone for who they were in the past.
  28. Heavy whipping cream makes the best scrambled eggs.
  29. For no reason, ever, should you get bangs.
  30. It’s okay to say, “no” to stuff.
  31. Nobody is perfect and everyone has skeletons in their closet.
  32. Do what makes you happy.
